Telephone cable and the brief fact about it.
Did you know that the first telegraphic cable which connected Europe with North America was laid down in 1857? The guy’s name who made it happen was Cyrus W. Field who was initially a successful businessman and financier. The first cable unfortunately broke down after 3 weeks but afterwards Field managed to change it for a more durable one in 1858. The cable under the sea was huge; it weighted about 550kg per km. Quite a big and old, right?
Looking for some cable but lighter and more durable? Then look at the below links where you can find different types of cables with a starting price as little as £3!
